These are probably the most beautiful parks in Paris and also at the Parisian photographers our absolute favorite locations for Paris gardens photo sessions. And we will of course tell you why!
Why are these Paris gardens great for your photo session?
Luxembourg Gardens: Luxembourg Gardens are famous for their alleys of trees, opulent flower beds, water fountains and romantic garden corners. In the middle of the gardens is the Luxembourg Palace, former royal residence. This is a great place for your Paris photo session if you want to have a French castle as a backdrop of your pictures. Also very famous is the Medici Fountain, a romantic and slightly secluded garden area. The Medici Fountain is another great spot for your Paris gardens photo session.
Tuileries Garden: The Tuileries garden are a large park stretching out in front of Louvre Palace. The flower beds, shadowy paths and water basins are great for a casual and romantic Paris gardens photo session. From one of the main alleys you have a great view on the Louvre palace. At the same time you enjoy the intimacy of a garden backdrop.
Parc Monceau: Parc Monceau is a whimsical and a very Parisian location for your Paris gardens photo session. There is a lake and little river in Parc Monceau with a romantic bridge crossing over. The lake is framed by Roman columns – and you find many more pieces of architecture spread allover the park that you can use for your photo shoot in Paris.

We absolutely love all three parks for your Paris engagement photoshoot as well as your couple photo session in Paris. These gardens are so romantic and usually not as crowded as the main sights, so you may feel a little less shy shooting at a garden location.

Paris surprise proposals work great in these parks and gardens. First you are rather intimate. Second your girlfriend won’t get suspicious – other than at the Eiffel Tower.
Family photo session: YES
Parks and gardens are great for family photo sessions in Paris. Especially children love them as they can run and play – and that helps a lot to get these big smiles for your Paris family photos.

Morning: YES
The best time for your Paris gardens photo session is morning time. The parks are as quiet as they get and you can enjoy them fully for your Paris gardens photo session. Starting from around noon they get busier.
Afternoon & evening: YES
A shoot in the afternoon can work in Tuileries and Parc Monceau. However these gardens will be a lot busier by then – especially during the warm months, on weekends and when the weather is good. Avoid Luxembourg Gardens in the afternoon, it is too crowded!

Spring, Summer, Autumn: YES
You will especially profit from your Paris gardens photo session in between spring bloom and autumn foliage. Because during that season trees and flowers will be looking most beautiful.
Winter: YES
You can still do your winter photoshoot in Parisian parks. The trees will be bare and flowers won’t bloom. But Paris parks are not only about greenery. They always also have interesting architectural elements that are still worth a visit, such as Luxembourg Palace, Medici Fountain or the Louvre Palace.

Louvre: If you are shooting in Tuileries garden then Louvre pyramid and palace are right around the corner and easily reachable within walking distance. Perfect for a Louvre photo session.
Parisian Cafés & streets: If you are shooting in Luxembourg Gardens and Parc Monceau then you have many pretty street Cafés and typical Parisian streets in the surroundings that you can use to add some lovely and very Parisian pictures.
Only a short ride away
Notre Dame Area: If you are shooting at Tuileries or Luxembourg Gardens then Notre Dame Cathedral and Notre Dame area are just a short ride away. where you can have a Paris casual photo session.
Arc de Triomphe: If you are shooting in Parc Monceau then Arc de Triomphe, the famous triumphal arch by Champs Elysées, is not far away from this garden. A quick ride in a cab will suffice.
