Romantic proposal in Paris
For Selda her Eiffel Tower couple photoshoot turned out to be a romantic proposal in Paris. Her boyfriend Rob had planned this surprise proposal together with his professional photographer in Paris, Marcus, from our team of The Parisian Photographers. Marcus will now tell you more about this romantic proposal in Paris:
How to plan a romantic proposal in Paris
Rob contacted me as he had planned a romantic proposal in Paris and wanted to have a photoshoot to capture his Eiffel Tower surprise proposal. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend during their trip to Paris in June. June is a beautiful time to come to Paris. However in order to shoot a romantic proposal in Paris at the Eiffel Tower we have to be there very early in the morning and in June sun is rising at 6 AM. As professional Paris proposal photographer I always try to keep a romantic and intimate spirit for any Eiffel Tower surprise proposal. Therefore avoiding crowds of tourists, travel groups and passersby is very important.
But of course as experienced photographer in Paris I had an idea how to solve this problems so that the couple did not have to wake up extremely early for their Paris photoshoot and that Rob could keep his romantic proposal in Paris a secret. I just asked Rob whether he or his girlfriend Selda were afraid of heights. His answer was ‘no’. So I said that I knew the perfect locations for Rob’s romantic surprise proposal in Paris that we could also use a bit later in the morning: The Eiffel Tower fountains. Rob loved the idea and we were good to go.
Surprise proposal at the Eiffel Tower
Selda knew that Rob had booked a Paris couple photo shoot. So in the morning of their couple photo session in Paris she was beautifully dressed and ready to shoot. We started their Paris couple photo session at Trocadero platform and stairs with a great view on the Eiffel Tower. The soft morning light and sunny weather were beautiful for their romantic couple pictures in Paris.
After these first couple photos we headed towards the Eiffel Tower fountains, the place I had recommended for the romantic proposal in Paris to happen.
Rob and I had arranged a cue so that he would know exactly when they were in the right position for their romantic Paris proposal photos. So when I, as their English speaking Paris photographer, said the keyword, Rob went down on his knee and proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower. The romantic proposal in Paris went just as planned and as you can see on their Paris proposal pictures emotions were running high.
I am right with them during the Paris surprise proposal as their local Paris photographer in order not to miss anything of this special moment. However I always try not to be intrusive while doing so. That can also mean that I sometimes give the couple a moment without taking pictures after their romantic proposal in Paris if needed. This way the newly engaged couple can realize what just happened.
Loving their Paris proposal pictures
Rob & Selda were soon ready to take off to our second Paris photoshoot location. So we took a taxi to the Louvre. When we arrived there we took advantage of the quite empty courtyard of the Louvre palace and continued their Paris engagement photoshoot. The glass pyramid is of course a must for every photo session at the Louvre. Rob & Selda looked great and I was confident that I was able to capture great romantic surprise proposal pictures and Paris engagement photos of the couple. Thank you, Rob & Selda for letting me be a part of your romantic proposal in Paris. It was my pleasure to help you making it happen!
This is what Rob & Selda said about their Paris proposal and engagement photo session with Marcus, from The Parisian Photographers: “Thank you so much for the photos, Marcus, we absolutely LOVE them! Thank you for making our special moment so special and capturing our proposal so wonderfully. It was truly a pleasure working with you and meeting you. Thank you for your advice on places to eat around town as well. We would absolutely recommend you and The Parisian Photographers to anyone wishing to have their photos taken in Paris.”
